Jim Hammerand of the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal does it again and beats the Star Tribune and Pioneer Press on the story of Mike Ciresi leaving Robins Kaplan Miller & Ciresi to form Ciresi & Conlin with Jan Conlin and Katie Crosby Lehmann.
I have had the pleasure and privilege of working with these three great lawyers early in my career.
What does this mean about the Minneapolis legal market or the U.S. legal market? Is this part of a trend where high-powered large firm lawyers are leaving behind the punishing overhead of large U.S. law firms so they can give their clients the same high value legal counsel, at a lower cost, with higher profit margins?
Or is that just the wishful thinking of a lawyer formerly with a large firm and now with his own small firm (yours truly)?
