The accusation of “class warfare” is being bandied about in national politics these days, but maybe the dramatic social unrest in the coming years will actually be “generational warfare”? Our culture has been dominated by “the statistical pig in the python” — the “baby boomer generation” — for fifty years. As they age, maybe their interests will start diverging more markedly from younger (and older?) generations?
19 retired NFL players (including, appropriately, Robert Stanford “Boomer” Brown) brought a class action complaint today in U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota against the NFL Players Association. From the complaint, one sees that the conflict has already been a long and bitter one.
